after a few days in cannes
Cannes is really nice, but quite small. I think around 80,000 people live here. Which is great because most everyone is very friendly and patient with us. We are at an international university right now, and there are alot of people from different countries here, which is really cool. Most of them can speak english, however eveyone is encouraged to speak french to one another which is really fun. I am in class in the morning for three hours, which flies by because everyone really wants to learn the language as much as possible. My professor is really nice, and very funny, he is definately a stereotypical frenchman. However he is not rude, but extremly sarcastic! This weekend we are headed to Monaco on Saturday and I think we will go to Provence on Sunday. It is nice to be able to relax. We have all afternoon to walk around the city or sit on the beach. The beach is amazing, and so beautiful. Claire and I are trying to enjoy it as much as possible. We had amazing crepes yesterday, she had one with nutella and I got one with apricots and Grand Marnier, yum! We love it here, but are extremly anxious to get to Paris!

hey lauren anne! i read your blog! way to go, you really did it! i just got home from a long day of babysitting and sweet little boy with a wicked bad cold, he kept coughing and sneezing on me, it was gross, lots of snot flying everywhere... anyway, what are you doing right now? i'm supposed to be packing, but i'm too tired! while i do love babysitting, it just wears me out... oh yeah, i'm going to new york tonight, but my dad just informed me that the inclement weather might impede our departure for tonight and delay it until the morning, which would totally blow b/c then we couldn't go stand outside the goodmorning america show and hold up big signs for them to put us on tv! bummer, keep your fingers crossed for me! so you say that your professor is a typical frenchman, but to be honest, i have no idea what that means! what is a typical frenchman? alright, well i'm sure you don't have enough time to be reading my boring jibber jabber... just thought i'd say hi and congratulate you for setting up the blog!! talk to you later you little saucy minx!
